Plot Synopsis

A New York City boxer rises through the welterweight ranks to become a successful champion. He soon leaves his devoted trainer and turns his career over to shady managers who want him to throw a big fight. As he grow estranged from his Puerto Rican buddies in the neighborhood and is seduced by fame he finds himself looking for moral answers and navigating the slippery slopes of celebrity.
