Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by A. Manette Ansay. Due to money troubles a schoolteacher, her two kids and her husband are forced to move into her husband's parents' farm. She discovers that her father-in-law is an abusive bully who's strong hold over his cowering son and his sickly wife soon causes her own marriage to disintegrate. Long held family secrets and powerful emotions eventually force the family to confront their damaged past.
