Plot Synopsis

A 12-year old boy helps his father earn a living by jamming classic rhythm and blues for small change on the streets of NYC. Times are often hard especially when Dad suffers a nervous breakdown and ends up in a mental hospital. This forces the young musician to search out the family he has never known--his cold, embittered grandfather and his divorced aunt. He soon bonds with his relatives and in time, the once shattered family comes together and begins to heal the wounds that have festered for years.
