Plot Synopsis
Based on the book ''White Lies'' by Nick Davies. In 1980 Texas, black janitor Clarence Brandley was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of a white high school girl, despite a glaring lack of evidence and no motive. The apparent injustice of the case attracted Houston black activist Jew Don Boney who enlisted the aid of Mike De Geurin, a determined young lawyer who eventually mounted a miraculous defense, overturned the conviction and saved Brandley's life.
