Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Geralyn Lucas. Twenty-seven year old, married television news journalist Geralyn Lucas finds her perfect life turned upside down when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. She soon begins a journey filled with fear and uncertainty as she questions her identity as a young woman in a beauty obsessed culture. Overwhelmed with differing medical opinions she decides she must take control and become her own advocate, which eventually leads to her decision to have a mastectomy. With the help of family and friends she ultimately discovers her own courage and self-acceptance.
