Plot Synopsis

A single mother living in a small town in Georgia tries to raise her teenage daughter in a normal American setting, while keeping secret her past as a famous singer. When her talented daughter is asked to come to Los Angeles by a record producer she tells the girl that the music business is a cruel world. Reluctantly she gives in and mother and daughter travel to LA where mom faces her past and deals with her daughter's aspirations to become a star.
