Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel ''Alice'' by Sara Flanigan. In 1938 rural Georgia, a hearing-impaired, epileptic girl is brutalized by her ignorant stepfather who believes she's possessed by the devil. She is rescued by two teenagers who introduce her to the world, awakening her sense of compassion and trust.
