Plot Synopsis

ABOUT THE BUSINESS is a one-hour reality series that follows a tight-knit group of true friends and frenemies in the elite world of urban Hollywood. During the day, they are on their grind in the high-stakes world of entertainment; and at night, this fashionable clique balances career and family while navigating Los Angeles' African American celebrity circles. The group of women includes: Eva Marcille, who has two TV shows on the air, but is diversifying by investing in a luxury container home business with her mother and project manager, Krista Kolley; Crystal Renay, a successful model facing two big milestones -- she is newly engaged to singer Ne-Yo and pregnant with her long-sought-after first child; EJ King, a celebrity stylist wrapping up a world tour with Chris Brown, looking to branch out in the world of fashion; Sparkle Holmes, owner of A List Group LA, a successful events, public relations and talent management company, which caters to stars like Nelly and Chris Brown; and Danielle Crawley, who heads up marketing for Nick Cannon's Ncredible Entertainment, but is spreading her wings by launching her own casting company. ABOUT THE BUSINESS opens with Crystal looking forward to celebrating her engagement to Ne-Yo, while Sparkle and Krista feud over the planning. Plus, Eva and Candice clash at EJ's birthday party, and Danielle seeks advice from her mentor on starting a modeling agency.

BET premiered the season finale of ABOUT THE BUSINESS on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT. In the season ender, "The Greatest Party That Never Was," Crystal is forced to reevaluate her friendships; Eva attempts to keep a business meeting 'all business' with an amorous investor; EJ finally has liposuction surgery; Sparkle and Krista prepare for Alex's listening party.
