Plot Synopsis

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS is a six-episode romantic drama series that follows two teen best friends in Poland, who spend their summer by the sea with hopes of making a film together. But they meet a talented young athlete who stirs up new feelings for both of them. Lena and Niko are lifelong friends who summer together every year at their families' shared vacation house by the beach. But this year, Lena's written a script that she and Niko plan to spend the summer filming before submitting it to their dream film school. Shortly after arriving for the season, they meet Igor, a troubled basketball player with dreams of making it big. As Igor becomes a critical part of the steamy short film, Niko confronts his complicated feelings for Lens -- and Igor. All six episodes of ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS dropped on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 on Netflix.
