Plot Synopsis

ACCORDING TO ALEX is a half-hour reality series that follows Whoopi Goldberg's daughter, Alex Martin Dean, who is at a crossroads, as she attempts to find the balance between starting a new chapter in her own life and her desire to stay closer to her kids, who, in their teens and 20s, are ready to fly the nest. Alex is at the age where she's determined to reinvent herself personally -- and professionally -- with the help of her husband Bernard, her three children (Amara, Jerzey and Mason), and her best friend Leisa Rachal (the daughter of actor Lee Weaver). But Alex also loves being a devoted mother and keeping her kids safe. Her oldest, Amara, is moving back home...with her fiance Chris and new baby. Now she has three generations of her family under one roof and loves every minute of it.
