Plot Synopsis
AERIAL AUSTRALIA is a one-hour documentary series that captures the wonders of the Land Down Under from the sky -- from coast to coast as well as the extreme center. The series opener, "Pacific Coast," highlights Sydney's architectural icons, Byron Bay's iconic beach breaks, perilous white-water adventures, and the Great Barrier Reef, the largest living structure on Earth. Then, in "The Extreme Center," the hot, dry Extreme Center of Australia is home to landscapes like nowhere else on Earth, fearsome apex predators, a town built by opals, and Uluru, the cultural and spiritual heart of a nation. Next, "The Far South" chronicles the rich cultural heritage of Melbourne, a sporting mecca called the 'G, a brutal island prison once known as Hell on Earth, and ancient rainforests, providing a living link to the past.
