Plot Synopsis

Based on Agatha Christie's book of the same name, THE ABC MURDERS is a three-part series that follows Hercule Poirot as he searches for a serial killer, The ABC Killer. It's 1933, and an older and grayer Hercule has fallen out of the public eye. When he receives anonymous letters threatening murder, he must take matters into his own hands. The ABC killer sends more letters promising to spill blood. Hercule's past, integrity and identity come into question while he fights a rising tide of xenophobia. With the ABC killer still on the loose, Hercule realises that only he holds the key to the murders. He faces a race against time to stop the bloodbath. Plus, the story deals with the themes of criminal psychology and psychopathy, the effects of the First World War, and changing social lives -- particularly those of young girls, who no longer "rush home at night." THE ABC MURDERS had its U.S. premiere on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released all three episodes of the series.
