Plot Synopsis

AIRPLANE REPO is a reality series that follows repo men pushing themselves -- and sometimes the law -- to reclaim multi-million-dollar jets, luxury yachts and high-end toys from the world's wealthiest, who have fallen behind on their payments. Hired by banks, these bounty hunters of the sky repossess assets from deadbeat one percenters, while facing numerous obstacles with each new job, including violent altercations with the owners, the risk of arrest, and unknowingly flying a damaged plane. Each one-hour episode chronicles these nail-biting, high-stakes jobs, as these men only have minutes to inspect the functionality of the plane before they take off in the air. This series features four men: Mike Kennedy, a weapons trader and exotic animal dealer, who normally works solo -- but sometimes with a small and seasoned crew -- and can fly just about anything; Kevin Lacey, a former Cessna mechanic and owner ofTexas Air Fleet/Rangers, who has done more than 450 repos around the globe; Ken Cage, President and co-owner of Internal Recovery Group (IRG), who has completed 1200 repossessions including boats, airplanes, construction equipment, trucks, buses, RVs and even racehorses; and Danny Thompson, a former champion bodybuilder and MMA fighter, who recently joined Ken's IRG this year. Originally produced by Pilgrim Films & Television and created by Bill Rancic, the Season 1 winner of THE APPRENTICE, the three one-hour specials of AIRPLANE REPO initially aired on Discovery from December 2010 through June 2011, featuring repo man Nick Popovich. More than a year later, in August 2012, Discovery Channel commissioned Undertow Films to produce AIRPLANE REPO, a ten-episode docuseries (Season 1) following a group of repo men that didn't include Popovich. AIRPLANE REPO returned for its second season on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Discovery. In the Season 2 opener, "Armed on Arrival," Mike Kennedy calls in his A-team to snag a Czechoslovakian fighter jet. Ken Cage and Danny Thompson go after a $2 million Citation CJ1 and end up under fire. Meanwhile, Kevin Lacey has a run in with an old adversary at the Sundance Air Show. On Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, Discovery debuted the Season 2 finale of AIRPLANE REPO. In the season ender, "Get Rich or Die Flyin'," Kevin is looking at one of the most complex mission's of his career. With three assets and three million bucks on the table, Kevin calls in Mike Kennedy to pull it off. Ken and Danny hunt down a one million dollar race boat. AIRPLANE REPO returned for its third season on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Ken Gets Played," a debtor suddenly swipes the helicopter that Ken and Danny were only seconds away from repossessing. Mike Kennedy enlists the help of his wife, Valerie, in a daring plot to seize a charter jet. Kevin is swarmed by FBI agents after an exhausting repo. Plus, in Season 3, Army vet and charter pilot Heather Sterzick joins AIRPLANE REPO under the tutelage of Kevin Lacey.
