Plot Synopsis

Based on a survival and thriller manga of the same name, ALICE IN BORDERLAND is a one-hour, live-action drama series that centers on Arisu -- a listless, jobless and video-game-obsessed young man -- who suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games in order to survive. In this strange world, Arisu meets Usagi, a young woman who's navigating the games alone. Together, they set out to unravel one mystery after another as they risk their lives and confront what it means to live. On Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season of the series.

The entire eight-episode second season of ALICE IN BORDERLAND dropped on Thursday, December 22, 2022 on Netflix. The games are deadlier, this world more wild and cruel; but will Arisu ever make it back to the real world -- and will it be worth everything he's lost? Season 2 opens with Arisu, Usagi, Kuina and Chishiya having waited for over an hour in Shibuya crossing for the next stage to start, but nothing seems to be happening. Then, when the King of Clubs has revealed himself in his full glory, the game finally begins. Much to Arisu's surprise, things are going pretty well.
