Plot Synopsis

ALWAYS JANE is a four-episode coming-of-age docuseries that follows transgender teen Jane Noury, as she nears graduation and prepares to leave the nest, ready to navigate major life changes with the support of her family . This series reveals a family with unconditional love that shines through as they tackle obstacles head-on so that Jane can live authentically. Navigating deeply personal and challenging issues, the Noury family's uplifting humor and kindness is always present, revealing the transformative power of acceptance, support, and love. ALWAYS JANE opens during Jane's senior year of high school and she's ready to venture out of her small town, Sparta, New Jersey. A modeling competition in LA might be the perfect escape. Soon after, Laura and Jane fly across the country to participate in trans exclusive agency SLAY's first ever Modeling competition. Right as Jane's future begins to open up before her, COVID hits. Quarantined together for months on end, the Noury's reflect on the Jane's transition story and their own process transitioning as a family. Will COVID and the restrictions it brings stop Jane from having the confirmation surgery she's been waiting years for? In the final installment, Jane's surgery is a success, but now what? With recovery forcing Jane to rest and reflect, she begins having second thoughts about college and what the next few years will hold.
