Plot Synopsis

Amanda Giese rescues and rehabilitates animals' others would consider hopeless and have given up on. Alongside Amanda are her two kids, Jade and Beast, and her partner Gary. Together, the family, based in Washington, care for animals in need and help them get the second chances and loving forever homes they deserve. Amanda's goal and the mission of her foundation, Panda Paws Rescue, is to end the homelessness, abuse and neglect of all animals. She strives to focus on quality over quantity and taking in those that are major medical or special needs. With her shaved head and raucous sense of humor, Amanda is out to prove that kindness is cool. And while there are ups, downs and unexpected turns on their journey, Amanda and her family remain advocates for all animals and a much-needed voice for animals in need. Where others see animals with no hope, Amanda sees an animal full of love who needs her help. In the series opener, "Wildfire Puppy Rescue," Amanda rescues three dogs with special needs from the California wildfires, and with the help of her family, she rehabilitates them at her at-home rescue and finds them their forever homes.

Season 2 of AMANDA TO THE RESCUE premiered on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on Animal Planet. In the season opener, "Floppy-Footed Pit Bull," Amanda takes on two new rescues -- Flint Lockwood, a nine-month-old pit bull with a fractured jaw and Latte, a four-month-old Dalmatian with an eye condition that could lead to blindness. Both need immediate medical attention. Later this season, Animal Planet audiences will see a first ever crossover episode featuring Amanda with Tia Torres of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES. In a special two-hour story which spans both series, Amanda travels to New Orleans, where she and Tia join forces to help Bean, a shy dog who suffered a traumatic leg injury after being shot.
