Plot Synopsis

THE AMATEUR MILLIONAIRES CLUB follows a group of newly minted African American millionaires, as they showcase their rise to wealth as well as the challenges of their new found stature in society. This group must juggle family responsibilities and faith with their careers with Ardyss International, a multi-level marketing company. The club includes: Dorothy Cook (aka The Godmother), who is the flashy and flamboyant 62-year-old matriarch of the group and was the first Platinum President in the English market with more than 500,000 independent distributors; Helen Dela'Houssaye, the boisterous and slick talking antagonist of the club, who is a newly married mother of four and has earned over $2 million in network marketing; Stormy Wellington, a young and street-smart high-school dropout and former exotic dancer, who has made the transition from an exotic dancer to the first millionaire of the club; Robert and Nicola Jackson, parents of four sons, with Nicola striving to take their fortune to the next level; Chyna Bethley, a breast-cancer survivor, who is the youngest member of the club after moving to Atlanta with her husband and daughter in pursuit of a rap career; Kenny Lloyd, a charismatic mogul, who, along with his wife Chante, puts his millions behind his adult children's career ventures; Jewel Tankard (aka The First Lady), super mom of a blended family of five, who, along with her husband Ben Tankard, are co-pastors of one of the fastest growing churches in middle Tennessee; Erwin and Twiler Portis, the power couple of the club, who teach the other members how to keep it professional while maintaining an empire "southern style" rooted in family values; and Lidia McKinney, the socialite and night-club owner of the group, who closes most of her million dollar deals in the club and on private jets.
