Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, AMAZING STORIES is a reboot of the classic 1980s anthology series, re-imagined for the 2020s through the lens of the new era's most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers. Showrunners for the anthology are Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, and episode directors include Chris Long, Mark Mylod, Michael Dinner, Susanna Fogel, and Sylvain White.

AMAZING STORIES debuts on Friday, March 6, 2020, as Apple TV+ releases the first episode. In the series opener, "The Cellar," Sam is restoring an old Iowa farmhouse and discovers a time portal in the storm cellar that transports him to 1919. Starring Dylan O'Brien and Victoria Pedretti.

One of the later episodes, "The Rift," is directed by Mylod and stars Kerry Lynn Bishe, Whitney Coleman, Trisha Mashburn, Austin Stowell, Edward Burns and Juliana Canfield. Talent from additional episodes includes Josh Holloway, Sasha Alexander, and Robert Forster, in his final role before passing away October 2019.
