Plot Synopsis

Every year for the past 35 years, Kevin McCurdy gathers his crew in Upstate New York's Bowdoin Park to build his Haunted Mansion, a real-life commercial haunted house with 13 horror-themed rooms. When he was 15-years-old, McCurdy started building his mansion at a location that used to be a Summer camp in the 1960s, where a counselor hung himself on a tree just outside the mansion. Now, he and his crew make the haunted mansion bigger and scarier every year, and to celebrate his 35th anniversary McCurdy lets cameras follow his team as they prepare for opening night in only three weeks. Each mini-episode of this 14-part reality series shows the design process from the initial concept to the intricate design details, as well as the build and reveal of these rooms. McCurdy's crew includes: lead carpenter Chris Zanin; his co-owner Holly Dillon; tech expert Dan 'Tink' Deritis; tech expert Kelley Doyle; and acting coach Rich Hanf.
