Plot Synopsis

Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz look for hidden memorabilia by digging through junk piles, abandoned barns and neglected garages. This series follows Mike and Frank through small towns and back roads for a glimpse at this little-known side of the antiques business. Whether tracking down a one-of-a-kind Ferris wheel or sizing up a vintage Harley-Davidson, they must be prepared to verify an object's history and judge its value. The pressure mounts as they strike the ultimate deal, find just the right buyer and turn around the item fast. Sometimes they make a buck; and sometimes they walk away with little more than the history of an item. AMERICAN PICKERS returned for its Season 6 Spring premiere on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on History. In the first episode back, a Colorado property turns out to be a mega-pick. Down the road in Massachusetts, the guys visit a one-of-a-kind classic car collection where they bid huge money on a 1961 Messerschmitt. Meanwhile in Nashville, Danielle lines up a potential buyer for the rare Fiat cutaway car the guys shipped back from Italy. AMERICAN PICKERS returned for a new season on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Red Barn, Black Keys," the Black Keys' frontman Dan Auerbach is set to short circuit Mike's plans to flip a Chet Atkins Gretsch guitar that he stumbled across in South Carolina. In upcoming episodes, Mike and Frank cover new territory, picking in New Mexico for the first time ever. Plus, the new season features two particularly rare classic cars: a 1954 Red Nash Healey Coupe and a 1954 Grey Nash Healey Coupe. Also coming up, the guys find a building chock full of Star Wars memorabilia including a life-sized Storm Trooper and Yoda, causing Frank to geek out. A lot is at stake when Frank makes a big bet with Mike: If Mike can down six dozen oysters then Frank has to shave his beard. AMERICAN PICKERS returned for its sixteenth season on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on History, immediately following an 11-hout marathon (10am-9pm) of encore episodes. In the season opener, "Tough Nut to Crack," when Frank goes nuts for a century-old snack icon, he must decide if it's worth an unprecedented sum of money to take it home. Then, Mike falls hard for a Roaring Twenties roadster. On Wednesday, April 10, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT, History premiered the seventeenth season of AMERICAN PICKERS. In the season opener, "The $90,000 Question," when they uncover one of the rarest motorcycles in the world, Mike and Frank must muster more cash than ever before to try and seal the ultimate deal.
