Plot Synopsis

The Mt. Airy home has been in Tayloe Emery's family for 10 generations -- and some of its rooms haven't been touched since it was built more than 250 years ago. Now, Tayloe and his wife Catherine are tackling a full restoration of the Virginia estate while preserving its beauty and history. Between their large family and the hunting and wedding parties they host at Mt. Airy, Catherine and Tayloe are often housing guests in the main house, which is not always convenient. They want to turn two unused west wing rooms into a guest bedroom and bathroom that can house multiple guests. Plus, when Catherine and Tayloe moved into Mt. Airy, all of their furnishings went into storage and they lived with Tayloe's grandparents' furniture and decor. It's time for the master bedroom and bathroom to finally feel like their own space, a place to unwind at the end of a long day. They're tearing out most of the bathroom including replacing a makeshift attic ladder attached by a wire hanger. DIY Network premiered a sneak-peek episode of this series on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, and seven weeks later the cable channel debuted the official series premiere of AMERICAN REHAB: VIRGINIA on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT.
