Plot Synopsis

Alton Brown travels across America visiting the places chosen as America's Best by "Food Network Magazine." This series of four specials covers the top 10 in each of these categories: "Comfort Food," including everything from the best no-nonsense pizza, golden hand-cut fries and even the best fresh spaghetti; "Food Destinations," covering secret speakeasies, cowboy cookouts and culinary boot camps; "American Classics," dishing out classic dishes like gumbo, cheesesteaks, and clam chowder that define America's regions; and "Sweets," cooking up superlative souffles, to-die-for donuts and innovative ice creams.
