AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS returned for its 25th season on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC, one week later than originally scheduled. The video highlights in the Season 25 premiere episode include clips featuring Ice Bucket Challenges that went wrong; a little girl trying out her new gift; a fairy that actually flies, only to see it fly directly into the lit fireplace; "Hammocks vs. Hams"; a music montage featuring comedic canines; and Tom playing "Head, Gut or Groin?" In its 25 seasons, AFV has given away over $13 million in prize money and evaluated more than a million video clips from home viewers. Season 27 of AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS premiered on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 7pm ET/PT on ABC. Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, this week's video highlights include a teenager recovering from dental surgery who is convinced one of her nurses was Hilary Clinton; a woman in labor tries to distract herself by dancing hip hop in the delivery room; a boy tries to do a good deed by returning his neighbor's garbage can which was blown into his yard, only to be challenged by fierce winds; a music montage featuring Hover Board mishaps and a package of hilarious face-swapping videos.
On Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 7pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the Season 27 finale of AFV. On the season ender, the season's two $100,000 winners battle it out for three Disney vacations to family destinations around the world, all part of the Disney Vacation Collection. The vacation package for four consists of a Disney Cruise Line vacation to The Bahamas, a guided group vacation to Costa Rica with Adventures by Disney, and a tropical getaway to Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai'i. Also, some of this week's video highlights feature a little girl crying that she wants a new dad, because she doesn't like the dance moves of her current one; dumbfounded reactions from about-to-be grandmothers who have literally discovered a bun in the oven and don't know what it means; a boy attempts to pull out a loose tooth with a drone, but his dog intercepts the drone before he can do it; and a cat perched on a woman's shoulder while she eats, tries to swipe food off her fork each time she brings it to her mouth. Five days earlier -- on Tuesday, May 16 -- ABC announced that AFV returns for its 28th season this Fall, airing 7pm on Sundays.
