Plot Synopsis

Childcare specialist Deborah Tillman travels throughout the United States, visiting the homes of parents seeking guidance and assistance on how to best raise their children. Diving straight into the chaos, Tillman closely observes each family dynamic to pinpoint their complicated problems -- ranging from extremely intense tantrums and constant timeouts to bad habits and misguided parenting -- and follows through to resolve their issues, putting families on the road to happiness. In 1992, Tillman quit her job as an accountant to start a home-based school where she could provide quality daycare and instruction to her son and other children. When many other families wanted the same quality child care, she expanded to a staff of six serving 45 children and then, in 1998, she opened a second site to accommodate more than 100 students and 16 full-time staff. She now operates three centers in Virginia, and is the author the book "Stepping Out on Faith," a guide to opening a quality child care center. This series returned for a second season on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10pm ET, using the new title SUPERNANNY: FAMILY LOCKDOWN in advertisements and on Lifetime's consumer website, but all listings, including the schedule at mylifetime.com, still showed the program as AMERICA'S SUPERNANNY for Season 2.
