Plot Synopsis

The 98th AMERICA'S THANKSGIVING PARADE, stepping off at 9am on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, was televised live on Thursday, November 28, 2024 on WDIV-TV in the Motor City from 9am-Noon and as a one-hour national broadcast from 10-11am ET on ABC. Celebrating "Smiles of Miles," the 2024 parade features: co-Grand Marshals (U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow; Mike Tirico); 28 floats (including six new designs by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Central Michigan University, General Motors, Henry Ford Health, Hudson-Webber Foundation, and The Skillman Foundation); six balloons; nine marching bands (Allen Park High School; Chippewa Valley Big Reds; Cousino Patriot Marching Band; Dakota High School; Detroit Public Schools Community District All City Band; Flushing Raider Marching Band; Oak Park Marching Legion; Southfield A & T Marching Warriors; St. Clair Marching Saints); and many celebrity guests.
