Plot Synopsis
Assisted by wildlife experts who track animals and interacting with CGI animated models to show anatomy and biology, Sir Patrick Stewart explores the science behind the animal kingdom's most formidable superpowers. Each 60-minute episode highlights a different type of animal, including: "Extreme Hunters," which shows the incredible senses of the hammerhead shark, python, pit viper, and sperm whale; "Extreme Killers," focusing on the deadly abilities of the alligator, peregrine falcon, and army ant; and "Extreme Survivors," which looks at the defensive tricks of the camouflaged octopus, electric eel, and regenerating salamander. Nat Geo Wild aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 8pm ET, by showing all three episodes back-to-back on the same night.
