Plot Synopsis

Based on Anne Rice's "Lives of the Mayfair Witches" trilogy, ANNE RICE'S MAYFAIR WITCHES is a one-hour drama series that focuses on Rowan Fielding, an intuitive young neurosurgeon, who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations. Written and executive produced by Michelle Ashford and showrunner Esta Spalding, the eight-episode first season debuted on Sunday, January 8, 2023, as AMC+ dropped two episodes early morning. Later that day at 9pm, ANNE RICE'S MAYFAIR WITCHES made its linear television debut, as AMC aired the series opener, with a simulcast on BBC America, IFC, WEtv, and SundanceTV. Episodes include:

"Second Line" (Thursday, January 19, 2023 on AMC+; linear TV debut on Sunday, January 22, 2023 on AMC): In the aftermath of Deirdre's grisly death, Rowan searches for safety in a strange city; Sip provides Rowan with a safe house while he investigates Deirdre's murder; Lasher makes contact with Rowan but not in the way one might expect.

"Curiouser and Curioser" (Thursday, January 26, 2023 on AMC+; linear TV debut on Sunday, January 29, 2023 on AMC): At Deirdre's funeral, Rowan is plunged into the world of the infamous Mayfair family; Uncle Cortland and Aunt Carlotta present diverging views on Lasher; Rowan must choose whom to trust and face the dire consequences; Sip identifies Deirdre's killer.

"The Thrall" (Thursday, February 2, 2023 on AMC+; linear TV debut on Sunday, February 5, 2023 on AMC): Trapped in the First Street House, Rowan and Sip must confront its many mysteries in order to escape; Rowan grapples with an inconceivable offer; Sip's sister Odette makes a horrifying discovery.

"Transference" (Thursday, February 9, 2023 on AMC+; linear TV debut on Sunday, February 12, 2023 on AMC): Desperate to relinquish Lasher, Rowan reaches out to her extended Mayfair family for help; Rowan must trust their unique process, a sacred ritual; Sip's search for answers takes him back to the Talamasca.

"Tessa" (Thursday, February 16, 2023 on AMC+; linear TV debut on Sunday, February 19, 2023 on AMC): Rowan makes a shocking discovery but has to deal with it alone; a tragic event brings Rowan closer to the Mayfairs -- and Lasher; Sip falls deeper down the rabbit hole of the key necklace.

The second season of ANNE RICE'S MAYFAIR WITCHES debuted on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC, with a special simulact on BBC America, WE tv, IFC, and SundanceTV. The new season continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher. She is determined to understand what he has become -- human or monster? -- and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.
