Plot Synopsis

In this new animated series from JibJab, ASK THE STORYBOTS centers on the StoryBots, curious little creatures who live in the world beneath our screens. Combining animated StoryBot segments with live-action appearances by special celebrity guests, each half-hour episode features a quintet of Storybots -- Beep, Bing, Bang, Boop and Bo -- who help answer kids' biggest questions, delivering their answer in musical form. The six-episode first season features these guest stars: Weird Al Yanokovic, who helps the StoryBots understand how French fries are made as the zen proprietor of the Spud Spa; Whoopi Goldberg, who answers "Why Do I Have to Brush My Teeth"; Jay Leno, who explores "How Does Night Happen?"; Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci (Garfunkel & Oates), who ponder the question, "Why Is the Sky Blue?"; Kevin Smith, who considers "How Do Airplanes Fly?"; and Tim Meadows and Chris Parnell, who try to figure out "Where Does Rain Come From?" On Friday, August 12, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire six-episode first season of ASK THE STORYBOTS.
On Friday, August 24, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the eight-episode second season of ASK THE STORYBOTS. Season 2 features guest stars Snoop Dogg, Christina Applegate, Kristen Schaal, Ali Wong, David Koechner, Edward Norton, David Cross, and Wanda Sykes. In the season opener, "How Do Computers Work?," the StoryBots climb inside a computer to learn about input, output and processing. Snoop Dogg guest-stars as a tech-savvy operating system.
