Plot Synopsis

To pay for an epic blunder when they let their boss down, three yakuza brothers are forced to alter their bodies, form a girl group and break into the underground J-Pop idol scene -- but no amount of surgery can alter their yakuza souls. After a year of intense training, the brothers make their debut. Junior yakuza member Kimura becomes the idol unit's personal assistant. Boss Inugane books a live radio interview to promote the Gokudols. The Gokudols are sent to audition for a yakuza movie. Mari and Chika visit their fathers for the first time since their transformations. BACK STREET GIRLS: GOKUDOLS, a half-hour anime series, had its U.S. premiere on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season.
