Plot Synopsis

While martial arts champion Baki Hanma trains hard to surpass his legendary father, underground martial arts promoter Tokugawa warns champion him that five violent death row escapees from around the world are all heading for Tokyo to take him on. While Baki easily subdues the thugs hired by delinquents from his own school, death row escapee Spec pays a visit to assess the champion's abilities. Death row escapee Dorian barges into the Shinshinkai Dojo and is confronted by Sea King Retsu, who's there coaching students in Chinese martial arts. BAKI, a half-hour anime series, had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

Season 2 of BAKI had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire 13-episode second season. A convict himself, bounty hunter Biscuit Oliva is dispatched to Tokyo to apprehend the escaped inmates and thwart them from unleashing further chaos. In the season opener, "Ungranted Freedom," Biscuit Oliva arrives in Tokyo to capture the remaining convicts. Sikorsky lures Baki into battle with help from an unlikely source.

Netflix released the 13-episode third season of BAKI on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Granted special entry into the Great Raitai Tournament, a poisoned Baki now faces fighters in China, where the next true Sea Emperor will be chosen.
