Plot Synopsis

BARN SWEET HOME is a one-hour reality series that follows Doug Morgan, as he transforms rundown barns into beautiful homes. On Monday, January 15, 2018 at 8pm ET/PT, DIY Network premiered "1860s Barn Lake Home," the pilot, as a 60-minute special, and the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In the pilot, Doug rescues a 1860s barn on the verge of falling down and rebuilds it as a stunning lakeside home. Every room is filled with antique barn treasures from hay trolleys and wagon wheel lights to a backsplash made from metal roofing. Every cabinet is handmade by Amish woodworkers and even the unique kitchen island is made from a salvaged railroad cart.
