Plot Synopsis

BATTLE ON THE BEACH is a competition series that features Ty Pennington, Alison Victoria, and Taniya Nayak mentoring three skilled teams of up-and-coming flippers, who work with three identical properties. In Season 1, the competitors worked with 1,500 square foot properties in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Each week, the teams execute a renovation challenge with results that impress star judges Mike Holmes and Mina Starsiak Hawk. Ultimately, the team who adds the most property value will win a $50,000 cash prize earmarked for the champion's next flip. Launching with a kitchen reno challenge, the 90-minute series premiere showcases the teams as they improve the heart of their property's homes. Throughout the season, with guidance from their star mentors, teams David and Kerry Kersh of Comanche, Texas; Josh and Shonnie Thomas of Dallas, Texas; and Darryl and Sunjay Williams of Atlanta, Georgia, overhaul living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, and more to reimagine tired sand shacks into enviable beachfront bungalows.

The sophomore season of BATTLE ON THE BEACH premiered on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 9-10:30pm ET/PT on HGTV. Season 2, shot in sunny Surfside Beach, Texas, spotlights three skilled teams of up-and-coming home renovators who -- coached by mentors and design experts Taniya Nayak, Ty Pennington, and Alison Victoria -- work tirelessly to complete weekly renovation challenges in the three 1,500-square-foot seaside homes -- each within a tight $80,000 renovation budget. To clinch the $50,000 cash prize, the teams must impress judges Bryan and Sarah Baeumler, who use their expertise to determine which team adds the most value to each ultimate waterfront oasis. In the premiere episode, kitchen and dining room overhauls will set the tone for each property's transformation. Later in the season, Taniya, Ty and Alison guide their teams -- father/son duo Roosevelt and Brandyn Chambers of St. Louis, Missouri; married couple Paige and Corey Cyr of Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada; and friends Wally Remaley of Dallas, Texas; and Jaqueline Matoza of Las Vegas, Nevada -- as they take the living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor spaces in the underwhelming beachfront digs from sad to sensational.
