Plot Synopsis

BATTLEGROUND: RHINO WARS follows four current and former members of the U.S. Special Ops (Navy SEALS and a Green Beret), who team up with South African anti-poaching units to track down illegal rhino poachers. The former US Special Forces operatives survey the situation, train the anti-poaching corps, exchange tactical information and go on the front lines themselves to help defeat these ruthless criminals before the rhinos are brought to total extinction. Each year, nearly 500 rhinos and more than 100 humans die because of poachers who kill to fulfill the worldwide commercial demand for rhino horns, an exotic commodity that's more valuable than gold. These soldiers of extinction include: Craig 'Saw' Sawyer (Navy SEAL fmr.), who has personally managed security teams for high-profile government officials including Hillary Clinton, Donald Rumsfeld and U.S. Ambassadors in overseas war zones; Jeff 'Biggs' (sniper, Navy SEAL fmr.), an active SEAL from 2002-09 where he picked up his nickname and now a Navy SEAL reservist, who is the co-founder of CTS Solutions, a security business specializing in tactical consulting and training; Rob Roy (intel, Navy SEAL ret.), who, after serving in the U.S military's most elite SEAL Team, SEAL Team 6, an anti-terrorism and maritime interdiction team, has toured with many operational units, such as US Army Special Forces, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and U.S. Customs; and 'Oz' (medic, Green Beret), whose full name is not revealed in the series or in press materials and who was deployed to Afghanistan numerous times on various operations for both the Department of Defense and other U.S. Government agencies. With the four Americans lending their anti-insurgency and guerilla-warfare skills to the bush warfare expertise of anti-poaching unit QUEMIC, which is led by: Dap Maritz (Security Manager, Game Reserves United), who has spent more than 20 years in the South African Special Forces; and Li Lotriet (Director, Wildlife Security Operation), who is on the frontline of this war and has handpicked every member of the anti-poaching team.
