Plot Synopsis

Canada's BBQ Champion Danielle Dimovski travels across the American South to compete at food festivals, while visiting BBQ joints and chowing down on the nation's best barbecue on the road between events. Danielle starts her BBQ road trip in Texas at the Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival, continues through Tennessee (Millington Goat Days), Alabama (Jaycee Riverfest), North Carolina, and Kentucky (Owensboro Grillin' and Chillin' BBQ cookoff), and ends at the American Royal BBQ competition in Missouri. On Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, Travel Channel aired the U.S. premiere of BBQ CRAWL, showing back-to-back, 30-minute episodes. Travel Channel aired the U.S. premiere of Season 2 on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes. In the night's first episode, "Nashville's Kings of Q," Danielle starts her BBQ roadtrip in Nashville, TN, where she digs into some dry ribs, barbecue sushi and a killer pork sandwich. Then, in the second episode, "Tennessee Pork, Pie and Muddy Ribs," Danielle visits Helen's BBQ, run by a female pitmaster, for the best pulled pork sandwich in Tennessee, and then stops by the home of the "Slap Yo' Mama" chocolate pie to judge a pie-eating contest.
On Wednesday, July 7, 2015 from 11pm-Midnight ET/PT, BBQ CRAWL returned for its third season on Travel Channel with back-to-back new episodes. In the night's first episode, "California Pig Candy and Chili Cheese Stuffed Doughnuts," Danielle starts off the crawl in Lancaster, California, to compete at the Blazin' BBQ Throwdown. Before things heat up on the competition front, she visits her old friend, Neil Strawder, aka "Big Mista." Neil sells BBQ at a farmer's market in downtown Los Angeles, and this is where he feeds Danielle the "Perfect Nude," the carb-free version of a pulled pork sandwich. Next, it's off to a swanky BBQ establishment in Sherman Oaks known as Boneyard Bistro. French-trained chef Aaron Robbins seamlessly blends new and old styles of BBQ, creating playful menu items like pulled pork dumplings and chili-cheese stuffed doughnuts. Then, it's competition time. Danielle goes head to head with some tough female competitors.
