Plot Synopsis

Charlie Brown and Linus commiserate about their miserable Valentine's Days at Birchwood School. Linus purchased a huge box of candy for his homeroom teacher, Miss Othmar, and, thinking the gift is for her, Sally makes a homemade card for Linus. At school the next day, Miss Othmar leaves with her boyfriend before Linus can give her the candy, and only when he runs after his teacher does Sally realize she wasn't Linus' Valentine. Meanwhile, anticipating a large number of Valentine's Day cards, Charlie Brown brings a briefcase to school, but only receives one card that reads: "Forget It Kid." He then waits for his cards in the mail... and waits... and waits..., but Violet finally delivers a used card the next day, causing Charlie Brown to muse whether her pity Valentine will start a new trend.
