Plot Synopsis

BEACH HUNTERS is a half-hour series that travels to some of the most exquisite beach destinations in the United States to help buyers search for their dream homes on the sand. Each 30-minute episode follows one couple and their agent as they search for their ideal beach house, showing the entire process from start to finish -- and for these beach hunters, it's all about location, location, location. On August 21, 2016 in the first series sneak peek, "Beach Life on Topsail Island, North Carolina," a newlywed Atlanta couple is ready to leave the bustling big city behind and purchase their first home together on Topsail Island, North Carolina. They want a fun, active beach lifestyle paired with a quaint, family-oriented community. But will their long wish list and 'beachy' ideals get in the way? On Sunday, January 1, 2016 from 6-7pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered back-to-back sneak-peek episodes of BEACH HUNTERS, but the cable channel had no other episodes on it schedule at that time. In the evening's first new episode (6pm), "Hunt for an Oregon Beach House," Alisa and Jamie are always looking for quality family time with their two young children. They've found it in the quaint Cape Cod-like town of Gearhart, Oregon, where they love to surf, spot whales and best of all for the family, storm-watch. Their previous visits now lead to a search to buy a Pacific Coast beach home in Gearhart. But can they find the perfect house on the majestic shores of the Oregon coastline that's within their budget? Then, in the second episode (6:30pm),"Hunting for a Dream Beach Home in Plymouth, Massachusetts," a couple want to relocate to a more relaxed area, and hope to find a beach home in Plymouth, MA, where they can still commute to Boston.

After multiple sneak-peek episodes, BEACH HUNTERS had its series premiere on Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as HGTV debuted back-to-back new episodes:

"The Hunt for a Gulf Breeze Dream Home" (10pm): Newlyweds are on a mission to relocate from cold and snowy Chicago to sunny and sandy Florida. The young couple fell in love with the small-town beach vibe of Gulf Breeze, FL, and is hoping to find their dream home on the water there. Her wish list includes a soaking tub and plenty of entertainment space while he's looking for a backyard paradise with space for a boat. It will be a difficult task but will they find the beach home of their dreams and stay within budget?

"Hunting for a New Start in Bellingham, Washington" (10:30pm): A Washington native going through a transition in his life is looking for a fresh start. With the help of his best friend, he chooses the sleepy coastal town of Bellingham, Washington, to set down roots and start anew. The friends and a realtor scour Bellingham for Brent's dream beach home which could be difficult to find in this sought-after market.

Season 4 of HOUSE HUNTERS premiered on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as HGTV debuted back-to-back new episodes:

"Middle Ground on the Coastline" (9pm): Carmit and her best friend are combing the beaches of southern Connecticut for a house that measures up to her standards. While she's hoping to find a home that offers hassle-free beach access and a cozy entertainment space, she's quickly learning that having specific needs often results in a difficult search.

"New Baby, New Beach" (9:30pm): First-time parents are looking for a beach home in Port Richey, Florida. They agree on a private neighborhood and stunning water views, but she wants a home that's move-in ready, and he's most concerned about a long commute to work.
