Plot Synopsis

Wildlife specialist Steve Searles manages the bear population in Mammoth Lakes, California. Searles deals with a cranky bear after it awakens in an inappropriate sleeping spot, makes a heart-wrenching decision about a badly wounded bear, helps a bear that makes a scene at a local outdoor mall filled with people, and tries to work with Mammoth's well-known Blondie, who disappeared after being on the shoot-to-kill list but returns with a cub and ready to cause more trouble. Animal Planet first aired THE BEAR WHISPERER as a two-hour special on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 8pm ET.
