Plot Synopsis

Marine biologist Dr. Andrew West travels across America, tracking exotic creatures and investigating the close encounters between animals and people. From the murky alligator swamps of Louisiana to Hawaii's pristine but deadly waters and from the snake invested waterways of Florida to the hog ravaged plains of Texas, humans are struggling to find a balance between conservation and survival as people encroach on deadly animals' habitats, leaving these creatures no choice but to find their way into our everyday lives. In the swamps, Dr. West investigates why there is so much conflict between humans and alligators and finds out what's being done to prevent it. Plus, when he visits Hawaii, Dr. West confronts one of Hawaii's biggest killers, the Tiger Shark, as he tries to better understand these oceanic monsters that attack more people than any other shark.
