Created, directed, written, and executive produced by Tyler Perry, TYLER PERRY'S BEAUTY IN BLACK is a 16-episode drama series that follows two women leading very different lives: Kimmie is struggling to make a living as a stripper after her mother kicked her out, while Mallory is running a successful business. But they find themselves entangled in each other's lives, when Kimmie's fate takes a turn when she crosses paths with Mallory's dysfunctional family behind a cosmetics dynasty -- and a devious trafficking scheme. The series opens with Kimmie applying for a scholarship to the Beauty in Black hair school founded by the Bellarie family, as she tries to escape the strip club and Jules' control. But Kimmie's choices soon lead to dangerous consequences. The first eight episodes of BEAUTY IN BLACK dropped on Thursday, October 24, 2024 on Netflix.
