BEYOND SPELLING MANOR is a reality series that follows Candy Spelling as she searches for a $5-million, two-bedroom apartment in New York City, while monitoring the construction of her $47-million penthouse condo, Manor in the Sky @ The Century, in Los Angeles. After her husband Aaron died, Candy Spelling wanted to downsize her home. SELLING SPELLING MANOR, a one-hour special that HGTV aired on December 15, 2011, explored the inside of the Spelling Mansion, as Candy toured her home one last time after selling the 56,000 square-foot house to 23-year old British heiress Petra Ecclestone for $85 million in June 2011. Now, Candy's vision for her Manor in the Sky is becoming a reality, one room at a time. After 28 months of construction, Candy's two-level, 19,000-square foot penthouse on the 42nd floor at The Century is nearing completion. This three-part series documents the end of construction, as Candy celebrates by throwing a party in the final episode, allowing guests to tour her new home, which includes: a private salt-water pool; the customized Candy Spelling Rose, planted in the largest penthouse conservatory in the western United States; the 1,200-square foot living room; the formal dining room that seats 30; the priceless original works of art; the 360-degree view of Los Angeles from the penthouse balconies; and so much more. As construction was winding down, Candy searched Manhattan for an East Coast residence she could call home.
