Plot Synopsis
Featuring on-location photography, re-creations, and archival footage, BIBLICAL CONSPIRACIES is a four-part series that uses history and forensic science to investigate real-life mysteries of The Bible. Each one-hour episode focuses on one undisputed artifact to be decoded, including: two nails that were discovered in the tomb of the High Priest Caiaphas who, according to the gospels, sent Jesus to the Romans -- and these just might be the nails used to crucify Jesus; a terra cotta sculpture attributed to Michelangelo that contains a secret symbol that unlocks an ancient, untold story of murder, sex and politics; 2,000-year-old bones that may hold the key to the Crucifixion, revealing that the classical depiction of Jesus on the cross may be all wrong; and a 1500-year-old manuscript, written by an anonymous monk and gathering dust at the British Library, which may contain the first solid written evidence that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. Science Channel broadcast the series premiere on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, and the next day aired the final three episodes back to back on Monday, December 15, 2014 from 8-11pm ET/PT.
