Plot Synopsis

Looking for their big break to make it on the tour, golfers compete against each other in elimination challenges as they vie for the chance to win exemptions for golf tournaments and, depending on the season, additional prizes such as cash, merchandise and shopping sprees. BIG BREAK GREENBRIER (Season 18) was shot on location at The Greenbrier Resort, where 12 men at different stages of their golf careers vie for prizes, with the winner receiving an exemption to the 2012 Greenbrier Classic and cash. BIG BREAK MEXICO (Season 19), which premiered on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 9pm ET on Golf Channel, featured competitors who started as male/female teammates and then ultimately became rivals, while playing at IBEROSTAR Playa Paraiso Golf and Spa Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. BIG BREAK NFL (Season 20), filmed at Dorado Beach Resort in Puerto Rico, matched up budding golf stars with NFL stars, including Jerry Rice, Chris Doleman, Tim Brown, Marc Bulger, Al Del Greco and Mark Rypien. BIG BREAK FLORIDA (Season 21), which premiered on Tuesday, February 24, 2014, featured 12 young women. Past winners include:

On Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, Golf Channel aired a one-hour special, "Meet the Players," in anticipation of the season premiere of BIG BREAK PALM BEACHES one week later on Monday, February 2 at 9pm ET/6pm PT. In the 23rd edition of BIG BREAK, 12 aspiring tour pros -- including collegiate All-Americans, multiple winners on the mini-tours, trick shot experts and an Iraq War Veteran who is also an amputee -- traveled to Jack Nicklaus' newly renovated PGA National Resort & Spa Champion Course in Palm Beaches, FL, for a chance to launch their career in professional golf, as they competed for more than $120,000 in cash and prizes, including an exemption to the 2015 Barbasol Championship on the PGA Tour. Melanie Collins returns as co-host.
On Monday, April 20, 2015 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Golf Channel premiered the Seaon 23 finale of BIG BREAK. This season, BIG BREAK PALM BEACHES, ends with Justin Martinson and Richy Werenski competing in an 18-hole singles match, with the winner earning a sponsor's exemption to the PGA TOUR's Barbasol Championship (July 16-19, 2015).
