Plot Synopsis

BIG FIX ALASKA is a one-hour reality series that follows master mechanics at a shop that takes on high-risk jobs across Alaska's frozen tundra. Risking life and limb on every job, this team of roughnecks brave the elements and work around the clock repairing super machines under the harshest conditions and in the most remote places in the world. They are specialists of a different breed and can fix things from a stranded crab boat in the middle of the Bering Sea to multi-million-dollar cranes frozen to the earth near the North Pole. With a constant work schedule, high stakes and 24-hour service, there is never a dull moment. The crew includes: Jim Evridge, the Owner-Operator of Jim's Equipment Repair, whose known as "Doc Brown" around the shop because of his unorthodox linguistics and unusual methods of fixing machinery; Austin Gillette, the shop's go-to field mechanic, who is Jim's nephew and has over 15,000 field hours under his belt; Duane Dennis, the no-nonsense General Manager of Jim's Equipment Repair, who was brought in by Jim about 3 years ago to take the company to the next level financially; Todd Anderson, a master mechanic, who has worked over 20 years in the industry; Aven Leidigh, a talented field mechanic, who doesn't go into the field anymore because of numerous near-death experiences in the bush; and Sara Foss, the bookkeeper/accountant for Jim's Equipment Repair, who is also the fiance of Duane.
