Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Kym Whitley, each one-hour episode of THE BIG HOLIDAY FOOD FIGHT features three home cooks who bust out their most beloved holiday family recipes and 'jingle bell rock' the kitchen as they vie for the $5,000 weekly prize. Appetizers, side dishes and desserts take center stage each week as the cooks are challenged to whip up their best family-favorite recipes to wow the judges: Gina Neely, Darnell Ferguson and James Wright Chanel. At the end of each round, the panel of judges decide who stays for the next round and who gets booted out in the cold -- until only one home chef is left standing at the end of each episode. In the series opener, "Battle of the Spices," the home cooks are out to prove their families' roots are the cream of the crop. It's a battle of the spices as a Jamaican cook seeks the advantage over his competitors' southern Creole flavors

On Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Noon ET/PT, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network premiered "Kitchen Warfare," the season finale of THE BIG HOLIDAY FOOD FIGHT. It's time for culinary warfare when a spirited grandma battles it out in the kitchen against a stern military officer and a bold hair stylist. One of the judges is enlisted for kitchen duty when an early advantage allows an extra soldier in the kitchen.
