Plot Synopsis

This one-hour reality series follows six teams of truck bounty hunters who retrieve big rigs when vehicles and their cargo need to be retrieved. Whether they're searching for a stranded trailer filled with prized cattle or tracking a hijacked truck full of a million dollars worth of laptops, these truck hunters race against the clock to retrieve the missing loads, while facing extreme weather, disastrous collisions, and disgruntled drivers. The teams in Season 1 were: The Jersey Boys (John Picnic and Gene Marino), a former trucker and an ex-cop, who are brothers-in-law bringing a no-nonsense Jersey attitude to get the job done; The Ex-Cons (Shawn Zimmerman and Vince Jones), fighting with each other since kindergarten, who take their aggression out on the road when not battling each other; The Desert Dogs (Eric Johnson and Rob Johnson), a father-son team, who often find themselves on the front lines of illegal smuggling along the U.S.-Mexico border; The Texans (Korchenko and Marshall Clements), a former wrestler and ex-football player, who have combined their mutual brawn to create a hugely successful truck recovery business; The Vets (Animal and Steve Irwin), two Vietnam vets, who, after surviving bombings and battles in Southeast Asia, will take up any challenge, under any condition; and The Lone Wolf (Jaxon), who has had driving partners before, but found his personality was more suited to being a loner.

BIG RIG BOUNTY HUNTERS returned for its second season on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 10pm ET/T on History, as two returning teams -- Shawn & Vince and Korchenko & Marshall -- were joined by four new teams: Big T & Bek, veteran truck drivers in Ohio, who have been dating for four years; The Wolf Brothers (Dave and Don Wolf), identical twins, who have been trucking together for over 30-years; Michael & Chad, a father/son-in-law team comprised of a truck driver/biker and a Deputy Sheriff; and Danny & Willie, a father/son team, who have been in the trucking industry for several generations. Season 2 features multiple truck hunts with three teams competing against each other in Ohio and three teams in Texas.
