Plot Synopsis
In each 60-minute episode of BIG TIME, three different young adults compete against each other in a series of challenges -- under the watchful eyes of two mentors -- as they vie for the grand prize, which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fulfill their dreams by performing on the world's biggest stages. This seven-episode series features young adults from across the globe fulfilling their dreams -- from racing professional racecar drivers and suiting up for a global soccer powerhouse to pitching for a professional baseball team, taking center stage at a major music concert and creating culinary masterpieces with world-class chefs. In the premiere episode, three singer-songwriters pushed their skills to the limit, proving to Grammy Award-Winning Producer Narada Michael Walden and Clear Channel Radio Program Director Julie Pilat they have what it takes to wow crowds on the big stage -- as an opening act at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, which featured performances by will.i.am, Sublime with Rome, Jane's Addiction, and many more. One week later on the "Soccer" episode, U.S. Women's Soccer star Morgan joined forces with Brazilian goalie coach Gaucho Pinho to train and challenge three aspiring goalkeepers -- including a game of "goalie wars" in the dark -- with the winner taking the field during half-time of the USA/Costa Rica soccer game to defend against penalty kicks from some of the top names in US Soccer. Subsequent episodes featured: actress Kathy Najimy ("Acting"); Lakers legend AC Green ("Basketball"); master chef Hubert Keller ("Cooking"); NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick ("Racing"); and NY Mets legend Frank Viola ("Baseball"). BIG TIME was marketed as the world's first social-reality series because individuals from all over the world had the opportunity to be selected for the global show by submitting applications via social media websites.
