Plot Synopsis

Host Bill Nye that tackles topics from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims. But the revelations are real, Bill reminds us, as he neutralizes falsehoods and boosts the truth: "It's not magic, it's science!" Each half-hour episode of BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD dives into a specific topic or concept through lively panel discussions, wide-ranging special correspondent reports and Bill's very special blend of lab procedure and genuine persona. Equipped with inquisitiveness, chemical-resistant gloves, and his beloved bow ties, Bill's a magnetic force that's hard to resist. Nye is joined by five correpsondents: fashion model Karlie Kloss, science YouTuber and educator Derek Muller, comedian Nazeem Hussain, comedian and writer Joanna Hausmann, and the TV host and producer Emily Calandrelli. On Friday, April 21, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire 13-episode first season. Season 1 features guest appearance by Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Rachel Bloom, Joel McHale, Wil Wheaton, Jonna Mae, Steve Aoki, Tim Gunn, and more. On Friday, December 29, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released Season 2 of BILL NYE SAVES THE WORLD. In Season 2 Bill talks sleep, drugs, internet security and more with a fresh batch of science experts and famous guests, including Kevin Smith, Steve-O, Ali Wong, Drew Carey, OK Go and Zach Braff in this batch of episodes and Karlie Kloss, David Arquette, Kurt Hugo Schneider, Scott Kelly, Tim Meadows, and more stars later. Plus, the new season features a new segment, #BillMeetsScienceTwitter, after scientists from all over the world reached out to Nye via Twitter following the series launch. In each episode, Nye showcases the incredible work from scientists he met on Twitter, including a doctor who generates computer simulations of space and time, a math oncologist trying to match patients with the right treatments, and a doctor studying how our brains regulate sleep. The final six episodes of Season 2 will launch in 2018.
