Plot Synopsis

BLOWDOWN follows Controlled Demolition Inc. (CDI) as this team of demolition experts travels the world destroying everything from buildings to bridges to ships, including: the RCA Dome, former home of the Indianapolis Colts; the Vandenberg, a Navy spyship off the coast of Florida; the Frontier casino and hotel in Las Vegas; four cooling towers at Sellafield, a nuclear plant on the coast of the Irish Sea in Cumbria, England; the old Sheraton hotel on Miami Beach; and an abandoned mobile launch tower at Space Launch Complex-40 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The program was filmed in 3D but initially shown in 2D. After the series aired worldwide on Nat Geo, Science Channel presented the U.S. premiere of BLOWDOWN on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10pm ET/PT.
