Plot Synopsis

BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE is a scripted comedy that follows the lives of student athletes at a fictional, college-football powerhouse, Blue Mountain State (BMS). But there's more to BMS than football -- there's more football, girls, partying, hazing and even a few classes. Alex, Sammy and Craig entered BMS as freshmen in Season 1. For two seasons, Alex was content to be the second-string quarterback and ride the bench while partying with his best friend Sammy, who became the school's mascot. In his junior year (Season 3), Alex must adjust to life as the starting quarterback and team captain. Craig, the school's top recruit in Season 1, arrived with his controlling girlfriend, Denise, who already had his NFL-pro future planned, but he transferred to Georgia Tech at the beginning of Season 2. Thad is the team's over-the-top captain who takes his role as team leader very seriously, which means he hazes the incoming freshman. Radon was the school's top QB recruit in Season 2, and he took the team's starting role as a freshman. The team is coached by Marty Daniels, who is portrayed by former NFL running back Ed Marinaro, and if wrangling his players wasn't difficult enough, he had to deal with Debra, his sexy, sharp-tongued ex-wife, starting in Season 2. And Marty's troubles worsened in Season 3 when the boosters force him to hire Marcus Gilday, a hotshot offensive coordinator/head coach-in-waiting. BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE featured guest appearances by many former/current NFL players and coaches, including: Bill Parcells, two-time Super Bowl Champion coach (NY Giants); four-time Pro Bowl QB and 1988 MVP Boomer Esiason (Cincinnati Bengals, NY Jets); four-time Super Bowl Champion Bill Romanowski (Denver Broncos); two-time NCAA All-American Brian Bosworth (Seattle Seahawks); and wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots).
