Plot Synopsis

BOLIVAR is a one-hour drama series that depicts the life -- and loves -- of Venezuelan Gen. Simon Bolivar, who helped liberate several Latin American countries from Spain. The 60-episode series opens in 1819, as Gen. Bolivar leads a ragtag army under harsh conditions. Flashbacks reveal his wedding day and his privileged boyhood alongside slaves. Then, Simon gets an unconventional tutor, who proves to be a kindred spirit. Carlos uses slave Matea as a bargaining chip to get ownership of family property. On Friday, June 21, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released all 60 episodes of BOLIVAR.
